The following are examples of the built heritage consultancy services offered:

Listed buildings

  • Help with navigating the process of submitting a listed building consent application. 
  • Advice on repairs, alterations and extensions.
  • Preparation of Heritage Statements and Statements of Significance, either as stand-alone documents or as part of a Design and Access Statement.
  • Advice on curtilage listing.

Development affecting the historic environment

  • Heritage Statements / Heritage Impact Assessments (HIA's) for development sites.
  • Advice on development within or affecting the setting of a range of heritage assets such as listed buildings, conservation areas and registered parks and gardens.

Non-designated heritage assets

  • Identification of non-designated heritage assets / buildings for inclusion on a local list.
  • Advice on repairs, alterations and extensions.

Building recording and research

  • Including provision of building recording services - Level 1 and 2 building records as set out in Historic England's 'Understanding Historic Buildings, A Guide to Good Recording Practice.'
